Can you gift wrap an item?
Absolutely! Please add the product "Gift Options" to your order for each item you would like wrapped. If you would like two items wrapped in the same package, only 1 "Gift Option" is necessary.
Do you take custom orders?
Yes. Please keep in mind that custom designs are laborious, so prices and item completion timelines will reflect this. If you have an idea for what you want, send me a detailed description and/or sketch and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
Do you combine shipping?
Yes! If you order a hat, all other items will have free shipping. For other combined packages, you can contact me for a shipping quote, or you can just go ahead and order! I'm still working out the kinks with the automated system, so if it tries to charge you for shipping for multiple items, I will refund you the extra costs.
Are the packages insured?
For physical orders within the US, tracking is included. Insurance is only included on items over $50. I will send you the tracking number as soon as I ship out your item. International shipment insurance offerings will vary.
When will I get my package?
US customers: you can expect your package to arrive in 10 business days from when your payment clears.
For international customers: please allow up to 15 business days from when your payment clears.
For digital file orders, please allow up to 48 hours.
Do you ship outside the US?
Sometimes. Some countries are automatically included, but if you don't see your country listed, please contact me with your location info for a quote. If you need the item by a certain date, please include that info, as well.
CANCELLATIONS / REFUNDS / EXCHANGES
What is your refund/exchange policy?
If there's a problem with your physical order, please contact me within 5 days of receiving the item. If the item was as described, but you still want to send it back, the buyer must pay all shipping costs (including tracking, as well as insurance if the order was over $50) both ways before the return/exchange will be processed. The package must be received at my address within 30 days. All custom orders are final sale.
Cancellations are always honored within 1 hour of order placement. If you cancel after an hour of placing your order and the item has not been shipped, you will only be responsible for the cost of the shipping label (because I buy the labels ahead of time through the automated system). Shipment sometimes occurs within 24 hours from order placement. Please be aware that if your order has already shipped, it is no longer eligible for cancellation. Automated shipment notifications are delivered up to 1 business day before or after a shipment is sent. Your order may have already been shipped out before you receive one of these notifications.
Who made this piece of clothing/accessory/jewelry/etc.?
All items that say "Made in the US" are made in my studio. All items that say "Made in Peru" are made by a fair trade certified artisans. Read more about Inca Colors' fair trade partners on the Sustainability and Community page.
Why does your product cost X amount?
If you haven't seen the life-changing film The True Cost, I would recommend it for getting a rough idea on how much fashion really costs.
I understand not everybody will be able to afford Inca Colors knitwear. That's why I offer different items at various price points. I also hope to make more fair fashion resources available (knitting patterns and practical everyday info) so that people with tight budgets can find new ways to create a fun, fair, and stylish wardrobe.
